Elon Musk and Grimes secretly welcome baby daughter Y two years after son X

Elon Musk and Grimes, real name Claire Elise Boucher, have secretly welcomed a baby daughter together, two years after she gave birth to their first child X.

The Genesis hitmaker had no choice but to announce the news during an interview with Vanity Fair after her youngest began wailing.

“I don’t know. I don’t know what I was thinking,” Grimes told the publication on trying to keep it a secret. She added: “She’s a little colicky too.”

The pair had their daughter via surrogate during the pandemic, which enabled them to keep it all under the radar, and they named her Exa Dark Sideræl Musk – but call her Y.

Elon, 50 and singer Grimes, 33, decided to split in 2021 following three years together.

When asked if they had decided to give their relationship another go, she replied: “I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid.”

She went on to explain that they live in separate houses and are best friends who see each other “all the time”.

While she explained that not everyone may understand their situation, they are happy.

“This is the best it’s ever been…. We just need to be free.”

And it appears two children together isn’t enough either as she added: “We’ve always wanted at least three or four.”

Elon and Grimes are also parents to X Æ A-12, who they had in May 2020.

As he shared a photo of him cradling the little bundle of joy on Twitter at the time, he wrote: “Mom & baby all good”. When asked what the couple had chosen to call their child by a fan, he wrote: “X Æ A-12 Musk”.

CEO of SpaceX and Tesla Elon is also dad to six sons Nevada, Xavier, Damian, Griffin, Kai and Saxon from previous relationships.

His second child with Grimes is his first daughter and when she was asked what her name means, Grimes explained that Exa is in reference to the supercomputing term exaFLOPS – which is the ability to perform 1 quintillion floating-point operations per second.

Dark is “the unknown. People fear it but truly it’s the absence of photons. Dark matter is the beautiful mystery of our universe.”

Meanwhile Sideræl, pronounced “sigh-deer-ee-el”, is “the true time of the universe, star time, deep space time, not our relative earth time.”
